General Information

The Production Technology (ProTech) Department is part of the Central Operations Branch of Mars Hill Church (MHC) in Seattle, Washington. This department is a small team of engineers that are responsible for the design, build, maintenance, upgrade, end-of-life replacement, and training on all of the church’s audio, video, lighting and satellite systems. A few years ago we made the stewardship decision to bring these functions in-house as it would provide a significant cost-savings to MHC based on our growth and dependence on technology.

This website exists as a resource to equip volunteers at the various MHC campuses by providing full system design documentation, functional training, answers to frequently asked questions, a system specific troubleshooting guide, and a collection of foundational training materials to help encourage growth in the basics of a specific technology. At the same time this website also aims to serve the greater Church by giving a window into our systems, history, past and current project, and equipment decisions.
