Federal Way Campus

FDW Launch day

General Information

The Federal Way Campus (Short code: FDW, Twitter: @MarsHillFDW) is the first truly portable campus, and sixth video campus for Mars Hill Church.  The Federal Way campus meets in the Gymnasium at the Sequoyah Middle School in Federal Way, and first opened it’s doors as a Mars Hill campus in September of 2009.  The campus seats about 200 people per service and has one service a Sunday.  See more at the Federal Way Campus website.

The entire Audio/Video/Lighting (A/V/L) System shows up in a trailer along with the Childrens ministry, Hospitality, Bookstore, and check in Kiosk.  Every Sunday the various systems are set up and the packed back up to be rolled away to a midweek storage facility.  The A/V/L was designed with quick set up and strike (tear down) in mind.  A lot of the technology in use to make this possible is the same as what is used everyday in the concert industry, from roadcases, to multipin disconnects on the snakes.  The set up, after two training’s/run throughs, takes a crew of 8 about 30 minutes to set up, and about 20 minutes to tear down and pack back into the trailer.
